Paying your school from overseas
If you’re paying your school from outside the UK, esenda shows you the payment options available in your country, so you can pay in the way that suits you. Your school receives the full amount due.
Step 1: Open your payment link
Click the payment link from your school. It takes you to esenda, your school’s secure payment provider.
Step 2: Enter your details
Enter your email address and the details asked for about the pupil and invoice. We’ll send your payment confirmation to this email address. Then select Continue.
Step 3: Check your country
At the top of the How would you like to pay? screen, you’ll see “Showing payment options for…” followed by a country. Make sure this is the country where your card or bank account is registered. If it isn’t, select Change.
Step 4: Choose how to pay
You’ll see the options available for your country, which may include:
Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
Pay instantly with a card issued in your selected country. You’ll see the total in your currency before you confirm.
International bank transfer
Where available, you can pay by bank transfer from your own bank. You’ll be shown the details and a payment reference to use. This can be a lower-cost option, though your own bank may charge for international transfers.
Your school chooses which options to offer, so you may not see all of them.
Step 5: Complete your payment
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay: enter your details or confirm on your phone, then check the total and confirm. Your bank may ask you to approve the payment.
By international bank transfer: make the transfer from your bank using the exact details and reference shown. Then return to esenda and select Payment Made. International transfers can take a few working days to arrive.
Step 6: Confirmation
You’ll see your confirmation on screen (for card payments) or once your transfer arrives (for bank transfers). A copy will be sent to your email address.
Frequently asked questions
Which country should I choose?
Choose the country where your card or bank account is registered. Card payments only work with a card issued in the country you’ve selected, so if your card is declined, check that the country matches.
Can I pay in pounds sterling?
Yes, if you’re paying from a UK bank account or with a UK-issued card.
Which option should I choose?
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are the quickest and most convenient. Where an international bank transfer is available, it may cost you less, but it takes longer to arrive and your bank may charge a fee.
Will I know the amount before I pay?
Yes. For card payments, you’ll see the total in your currency before you confirm.
Something doesn’t look right. What should I do?
If anything looks incorrect, email [email protected] with your payment reference and a screenshot (with any card details hidden), and we’ll look into it.
Is it secure?
Yes. Your payment and personal details are protected throughout, and your bank may ask you to confirm the payment as an extra layer of security.
